Creating billisdead.

Dear friends,

Having revived the old musical entity I created in my teenage years - mr.teddybear, it's been like a creative big bang in the last two years. The arrival of AI and mixing up IT tools kind of expanded all this and I felt like it was time to get some organization in this chaos. By creating a second mental and internet space for a different chaos.

I then gave another life to Billisdead, originally a commissioned music track composed as an homage to BILL's death, in Kill Bill's movies, hence the flute in the track, and the broken flute in the logo.

Indeed, I developed a keen interest in AI, both artistically (I know there is a debate about that) and professionally. As a an IT guy in real life, I thought it would be a shame not to exploit those tools, to make an artistic life more fun and efficient. Then I started to make some images. Lots - of - images, organized in various series and sub series.

When I speak of tools, I mean I needed a few foss and selfhosted things to make this new identity fun, creative, and the less time consuming possible for keeping an easy life aside :

  • a crosspost tool to spent just the right amount of time on social networks : postiz
  • a new frontend blog, still using Ghost CMS, just like the present one : oh yes, I'm still working on this one and asking myself questions. Will I use a paid theme ? How do I present my work ? Do I show the past works or create new ones from the old ones ? Many questions still waiting for an answer.
  • some analytics because Google will stop being a threat when we all stop depending on it : plausible analytics
  • an automation tool aka the fun toy which interact with all the previous ones : n8n

All of this is crazy exciting, at least on my side, but also time and energy consuming, at least during the initial phase.

Then, the point : I'm not forgetting mr.teddybear, but I'm protecting him. Giving space to visual obsessions is a way to give more exclusive space to musical expression. Especially when speaking of the TEMPLES project, which is deeply rooted in my personal experience.

That's it for a quick explanation guys.

I hope you'll like all of this. I'll keep you posted.
